Malaysians are not so funny

NTV7 labelled Wednesday as the day of blues unofficially and decided to slot in supposedly humorous two sitcoms starting from 8:30pm. The first was PCK Sdn Bhd which is obviously the Malaysian version, with original PCK and Rosie starring and the rest were other Malaysian actors and actresses whom I think were not able to match the "siao-ness" of Chu Beng, Margaret, Aloysius and the 2 tau huay lovers. Hence, the smile forcely planted on my face to prove that this is a supposedly entertaining sitcom.

Then came the first episode of Mr. Siao's Mandarin Class last night right after PCK Sdn Bhd, it is a supposedly Malaysian version of Mind your Language - which was incredibly funny as I could still remember Mr. Brown vividly. Thanks to the excellent review of this sitcom in The Star yesterday, I managed to plant high hopes for this until 9pm which I got struck by great disappointment 5 minutes after watching it. I couldn't recall wat happened 25 minutes later as I dozed off with Jojo licking my toes.

Nevertheless..

I will still stay tune to these two sitcoms next Wednesday at 8:30pm sharp though, due to the lack of entertainment I could grasp from national channels.

Jojo's decision

Due to several reasons, my Boss declared her unwillingness in taking the master bedroom anymore since Feb. Hence, the notice seeking for friendly housemates was pasted downstairs my house. Weeks flew by, calls came, unfortunately no one went up to check the master bedroom out. Simply put, the price put them off.

My boss decided to change her strategy last week and offered to foot a small portion of the rent every month. The new indicated price did interest several, but no confirmations were made till yesterday. Two girls were tempted by the new price and friendly housemates - Ellyn, Jojo and I, hence the immediate confirmation upon seeing the room.

The whole point of this non-fiction story is that, Jojo was the one who decided who our new housemates should be.

Incident 1: A huge Indian lady came and loved the room immediately. Jojo loved her too but the lady was discouraged by the price and was very afraid of Jojo.

Incident 2: Two ladies came. One was a Chinese and the other looked like a Filipino. This Chinese lady with grey hair all over was about fifty plus and that Filipino lady looked in her early thirties. As I was busy guessing the most possible relationship between this old Chinese lady and a young Filipino, Jojo barked with all her might at them until they left the house. Obviously, Jojo was not interested in them and they never showed their affection for a cute pup. They loved the room but they never came back to us, guess they found something better too. Upon Jojo's misbehaviour when she met them, I guess I wouldn't allow them to be my housemates.

Morale of the story: Get a dog to decide who your new housemates should be.

My apologies for the illogical story above, I'm too sleepy to admit that I'm drowning in the Monday blues.

Btw, Jojo got her haircut yesterday, she looked like a primary school girl with super short and straight hair, ready to attend school assembly on a Monday.
