新年快乐,恭喜发财,万事如意,身体健康。

Mummy called me earlier to update me on where we're supposed to go for CNY meals. There are these two aunties of mine who love to cook and they do not mind cooking for 40 mouths everyday during the CNY period. That's how lucky the Lo family is.

I look forward to every Chinese New Year even when I know what is most likely going to happen everytime during this period. My nephews and nieces will be bugging me to let them fiddle with my handphone, tugging my new red outfit just to see whether its stretchable, begging me to bring them out for fireworks session at 12 noon, when the sun is at its best. Despite those, I enjoy their company as they lion dance against the background of cheesy Chinese New Year songs, asking me classic questions every year like, "jie jie, how old are you?"

Okay. Its 6pm. Time to knock off.

Happy Chinese 牛 Year!

The Cough

Quote Karen Smith in Mean Girls, "Ehe Ehe, I'm sick."

Mucus dried up, cough springs up a few days right before Chinese New Year. This means I am going to get a big scolding from mummy for not boiling much herbal drinks and not allowed to drink cold Shandies, cold tangerines, cold ba gua and huge prawn crackers.

This cough not only restricts my freedom in consuming my favourite food, it also contributes to my major embarrassment I suffered yesterday.

It was a phone conversation so my face was saved.

Me: "Ms. XX, is the press release for the XX ok?"

Female editor: "Yea, I got it and I don't think I'm using this for the time being due to a million reasons, bla-bla-bla."

At this very moment when she was giving me the million reasons, my cough sprung right up to the tip of my throat.

Me: "Oh ok. When can I *coughed non-stop*?"

Female Editor: "Oh my god, Selina, are you okay?"

Me: "I am.."*coughed harder and never ending*

Me: "I call you" *cough sprung up again* [slammed the phone, dashed into the ladies' to cough my lungs out]

She conveyed her greatest concern by dropping me an email, suggesting I take cough syrup.

我返来啦![I'm back!]

Upon arriving in Hong Kong, I was frozen from head to toe, no doubt it was my first time experiencing how 10 degrees celcius feels like. Mucus starts dripping and yes, I was busy making "wantons" throughout the whole trip.

I did not have a camera with me [again]! Or else, I could have captured the mini room I'm staying at, the amount of people rushing in and out of the train station, the shop that sells solely AV videos starring Japanese porn stars and how horny the owner looks, the fat cat with a Louis Vuitton collar, how the lady was begging me to buy her necklace, how cool the Hong Kong police were when they were chasing a thief at Ladies' Market, how serene Discovery Bay is and not forgetting how handsome everyone looked in their winter wear suits, [including me].

Anyway, I did not get anything in Hong Kong this time round, except for the necklace that lady was begging me to own it, I was plain sick to do any shopping or even bargain with those ladies. The bargaining system in Hong Kong is much worse than Thailand.

Despite the flu hitting me throughout the whole trip, I still managed to taste and experience how heavenly the food is, especially the pig rojak porridge!
Ssslllurp..
Hmm..that mainly wraps up my trip. :)

TGIF

The said title was what I have always liked to exclaim on Fridays. You know that feeling of kicking the black, boring pumps away and to find yourself slipping into those leather-like stiletto slingbacks plus the little green dress and getting whisked away by prince charming for a candlelight drink. Pardon the little green dress, I just love green and it looks good on me too.

Its not like I'm having that in reality today, but what could've even be "better" than getting stuck in heavy traffic for one hour on a Friday night. Plus 16 more minutes, to be precise.

It was silly of me to agree to meet my client at 5:30pm today, which lasted for an hour. My stomach then started growling, part of me was about to enter the food court for a munch, the other evil part of me was dying to rush home for 7pm's 心花朵朵开II. Last night's 心花朵朵开preview showed, XX's dad will be trying to rape his own daughter, so damn kan cheong, can? [Mummy will be spanking me when she sees this sentence, "I have been grooming your English since you were 4 and you came up with such a sentence 20 years later!?"]

The bus was crawling and I was busy encouraging it, "C'mon you can do it, ok, we have passed little india, now to newton circus, then to Bt Timah Road." The bus was literally dragging its ass inch by inch and I was eyeing the clock minute by minute. There came this moment, when I was complaining how freaking long this Bt Timah Road was which, it took a whole hour to reach King Albert's Park. I was feeling hungry and nothing to look forward to when I got down from the bus, as it had hit past 8pm and I couldn't watch my favourite series.

Minutes later,

.
It took me by surprise when 心花朵朵开II was still on [till 9pm on Fridays!] whilst I was sipping my overcooked noodles with a sigh of relief.

Aahh.Thank God its Friday.
