HK Business Trip - Day 3

Brief update: My arms hurt today after carrying a baby for 1 hour yesterday. Don't huh me. The baby is freaking heavy = 10kg.

Last of the lot.
If you are into Sungei Wang type of clothes, Granville Road is the best place to visit. But please bear in mind, stuff in Hong Kong ain't cheap, I ended up buying a pair of socks [only] at Granville Road. As a typical Malaysian you can't help doing arithmetic, when you see the price, xxHKD X RM2.24 = Not worth it.

Hong Kong International Airport is superb. KLIA, Changi Airport are nothing compared to HKIA. It is huge, when I say huge, it is really huge, there is a total of 80 boarding gates. I remembered chuckling to myself, "wow, whoever is assigned to gate 80 will have to walk forever. Lucky me, gate 11." Instead, the Jakun me did not have a clue two trains are actually provided to reach your destinated gate. How cool is that. The journey hasn't ended. To enter the airplane, we had to take the tram which took us 10 minutes just to reach the airplane. How enormous HKIA is!

Anyway, I will get to explore this airport again next month. :)

HK Business Trip - Day 2

Brief update: I scored a goal during my 1st futsal game yesterday. Haha.

One thing fantastic about Hong Kong is Dim Sum. Its definitely larger than the ones in Malaysia, fully filled with prawns. Thats how I got my seafood-allergic-rashes on that day. :)
The next fantastic stuff I found in Hong Kong is the mango-sago-pomelo dessert. Its..its..indescribable.Mmm.

In fact, besides the food and the shopping outlets, I don't find Hong Kong very fascinating and glamorous as being portrayed in the usual Hong Kong drama series. By the way, I found that signature unique-structured building which is always pictured in Hong Kong drama series. Its in Admiralty area, if you're keen to take a look one day.

Hong Kong is a well-polluted, noisy, crowded place with attitude-defficiency people. Take for example, if you ask a waiter for vinegar, and he feels its a very unusual question which no one has questioned him like such before, he will just shrug his shoulders and turn his back towards you. That is how fantastic the customer services are in Hong Kong. To those who study business, "customer is king"theory is definitely not applicable in Hong Kong.

Anyway, there is this place if you happen to drop by in Hong Kong even for the shortest moment. Its Citygate outlet which you will find yourself purchasing totes from Coach, Prada, Kate Spade. [This definitely applies to those aspiring tai-tais out there who will find these a steal!]

Apart from shopping, there is this interesting thing you must observe when you visit Hong Kong.
No matter how young or old the Hongkies are, they like to wear track shoes everywhere. Hmm.. I wonder why is HongKong-feet associated with smelly feet?

HK Business Trip - Day 1

Brief update: Just came back from Hong Kong 2 hours ago. Am at Singapore currently.

I shall start from Day 1.
Upon reaching HKIA at 8:30pm, I was very impressed by its huge-ness, until I was busy rambling to myself why is it so huge that I have to walk a whole freaking 15 minutes, with the walkalator's help to the conveyer belt. It also got me into great shock when I was busy looking at some magazine and this big black dog came sniffing my bag, thinking I look like a drug addict perhaps.

I then took a taxi to the hotel and after the usual check-in procedure, I headed straight to Lan Kwai Fong. Woohoo! It was splendid and a very interesting eye-opener for me. The pubs are the size of a toilet, no kidding. It can only fit 10 people to the max. So, thats why Hongkies and foreigners love to pay to stand to drink on the streets. I guess its a good way for them to mingle around too.

The whole experience that night was overwhelming as I have always wanted to do this due to the HK drama series' influence and there I was, for once, sitting through the night at California pub, listening to live jazz and sipping my vodka lime...
until I realized my biggest mistake ever, I don't have a camera with me. Shit.
