Does, not owning the most "in" technological gadget makes you technologically out-dated? I seriously doubt so.
Most of the people I know were kinda amazed when I still have my three and a half years old Nokia 6610i with me. They were kinda impressed that I can resist the temptations of owning those new and sleek-designed camera phones with these and those functions. By the way, Nokia 6610i is a camera phone that is hardly any pixels, so the photos come out in a total blur-ness. I too, couldn't be bothered whether my phone sings or not, so what, if it still rings in polyphonic tones. It has the basic functions and no Bluetooth.
So, thats how some of my friends cannot understand how I can bear with this "dinosaur", according to them, which makes me so uncool. Excuse me, I have never come across a statement stating that, having the most hi-tech phone to play with makes you cool. Some people just have different priorities on what they want to own and if they want to be influenced by the weekly advertisements advertising new phones, so be it.
Till then, my Nokia 6610i will always stay by my side until it decides to call it a day.
Fancy calling my Nokia 6610i a dinosaur?!
