save and you will be saved

Since day one I made into 2009, I feel compelled, in fact I forced myself to save every penny I have, so much so I wished I'd brought my piggy over which I used to drop every penny I saved that day into. With that, I could limit myself to RM10 a day which I'm already doing and watch the money grow in my piggy.

I used to save tons of coins as a kid and proudly shove it to the counter lady whilst she dumped my coins into this machine which I thought "a-money-counter-genius". Years flew, and I got selekeh in money-managing till this economic meltdown struck me and here I am again, saving pennies. Till date, I have been updating my little notebook religiously, not mentioning the big grin when I managed to spend less than RM5 that day.

It's a tough practice, I will say, even though I managed to convince myself to spend that RM10 on an Amy Tan novel during lunch hour today. RM10 for a book is considered the higher-price-item in my dictionary, just in case you're wondering. I get quality books 3 for RM10 most of the time.

On a slight separate tone, I caught Jojo screwing my white heel up with a shredded look she did with her shiny, white pearls. Don't even get me started on how I reacted, no matter how much sheepish look she gave me. It took me a great moment to grieve upon my white heel, with her not knowing, what she had done to my soul.

On a very different note, my confession to Ellyn this morning was a weird one. I told her I take my pick in everyday attire according to the color the NTV7 breakfast hosts are wearing except today, in which I can't possibly dress myself in blue twice in a week. Hmm..someone here sounds very flamboyant.

That said, the movies in GSC are scratching the itch in me. Should I catch a movie this weekend? Well, things can be re-shuffled once in a while. The eyeliner can certainly wait.
