Reunion

KFC - A fast-food restaurant where two girls met together on purpose to mingle around, gossip and yak the most mundane of news and the deepest of subjects, tearing an oily-skinned drumstick apart before bidding farewell which they absolutely have no idea when they will ever smack each other again. Its been ages they have done this together-gather session and they totally miss it.

It was this only one hour that they raced and poured their thoughts which constantly ends up with the gossip of others [ahem*]. Anyway, gossips do hype conversations up, don't you think so?

1 hour later on the dot, after the flying kisses, A turned left to resume her 8 to 5 drill, B marched into the nearest shopping mall.


p.s. I had the most absolute satisfying shopping spree today. Whee!

Its done.

I used to pray so that all of these ends quickly. Now its done. I am just plain glad I survived it.

This is the end of student life which I cannot possibly erase these tiny sweet memories forever,
- the sweat and tears in completing assignments,
- dreading over the exam wishing it would end faster,
- lunch hours with my fellow compulsive eaters,
- fishing during classes especially [Mr. Philip's class],
- stupid jokes we shared together,
- bersantai-santai at shopping malls,
- feasting at Chilli's, TGIF, Italiannies, etc.
- skipping classes for movies, [ahem*]

The list goes on...

Much has happened since my last update. My trip to Chiang Mai was a so-so experience for me, which I was very disappointed with the bad timing and the weather. I rode on the naughty Kam Tan for the first time, did white water rafting which currents were not the best, but we still managed to make some fun out of it.

The Buddhist temples which are everywhere is a must on every tourist's list, particularly Wat Phratat Doi Suthep, which we also enthusiastically dragged ourselves from the bed as early as 5am to capture the sunrise view from there. It was another disappointment though, due to bad timing [again].

The night bazaar is also a must-go for shopaholics to check out the various authentic items, which I was very satisfied with my shopping spree this time. Thumbs up to a load of artists who could paint pictures in black and white directly from the real copy of a photo. Gosh, they are talented.

The next stop was the Golden Triangle, where the 3 countries meet [Thailand, Laos and Burma] and which we were supposed to shriek in awe. It was too hot for us to be excited, nevertheless, I was happy to experience the Mekong River for the first time, something that I have imagined for a long time since high school.

My only regret for this trip is that we chose a bad season to travel in, had insufficient time for a Thai massage, missed the opprtunity to cycle around the heart of Chiang Mai and lastly, grab a bite of that huge fried cricket. Nevertheless, it was a fun and learning experience for me and not forgetting, I had the best bite of Kao Soi twice and a fried larvae before I leave that laid-back town.

Gong Xi Fa Cai

Auspicious day indeed to earn money from the aunties, uncles and newly-wed cousins by repeating the Title all day long, gobble and gamble as much as you can, entertain your nephews and nieces by burning your fingers, entertain yourself by listening to the bitching aunties, talk about the weather especially China's weather, roll your eyes when your relative brags about their success in whatever, excite yourself when the fake lion comes to the house...

The list goes on and on until Monday, when everything is back to abnormal again.
